Finally here
We arrived safely to Bishkek, after some pretty scary turbulance on the plane. Before arriving in Bishkek, we had the opportunity to explore Istanbul for a day. It is a really interesting city and we will definetly go back if we have the opportunity. We have spent the last 3 nights at an old hotel on the outskirts of Bishkek, and this is the first time that we have been able to leave the hotel and explore Bishkek due to language and cultural trainings. We will be leaving Bishkek this afternoon to move to our training sites with our host familes for 11 weeks. Mike and I will be separated but will see eachother at least 2 times a week and will spend weekends together. So far, the food has been good. The locals eat a lot of meat with each meal, much more that what I am used to, but that will be one of the many adjustments we will be making.
More to come soon when there is more time.
